Well, it's 2012, and I feel like I can't help but mention that a lot of people think that the world is going to end this year. Oooo.... scary (if you buy into that crapola!) My husband and I are not among those who believe the world is going to end, and for some reason, we feel like 2012 is going to be our luckiest year to date.
We got a jump on the New Year last week and cleaned out our entire home... I know, it sounds crazy, and you should have seen the carnage; 10 trash bags, 30 cardboard boxes to the recycling center, a fire to burn all those papers with my social security number on them, and 3 trips to the thrift store later, our attic is a shimmering example of organization at it's best. I'm talking storage solutions, people! I am not ashamed to say that I returned unwanted Christmas gifts in order to get them from the home improvement store!
We've got a costume box, a box of baseball cards, a box of CDs, one see-though bin of wedding memorabilia, 2 bins of Christmas, and a partridge in a pear tree. I feel at peace.
With it being the New Year and all, it's that time to make some resolutions. This fact is not lost on Bossy Italian Wife. I may be bossy, but I still gotta try to be my best [bossy] self... hehe. So what are mine? I've already cleaned and organized so that can't be it. No, this year, I am working on conquering some of my fears and being adventurous in more aspects of my life.
In some respects I have been very adventurous... like leaving my stable job to be a writer. That was adventurous, but there are other ways I wish that I could be more courageous. I want to be bestest, boldest self this year. So brace yourselves for more opinions, and stronger aversions! LOL
I also want to go deeper into my culinary aspirations. As part of this, I want to get into more restaurant kitchens about town! I think that this will help me accomplish the learning portion of my life. I love to learn, and I wanna do more of it!
So what is your resolution this year? And how are you going to keep it??
